BEFORE I SAW HIM -JOHN BAKALIS-2020

ON A PIANO TOY-JOHN BAKALIS-2020

HAND FLEW-JOHN BAKALIS-2020

The view
a cocktail of clouds
a  ceiling landscape
breathtakingly red beauty
keeping  my emotions
in check

Distracted wave of a smile.

Distracted wave of a smile.

She came
glancing  at
the  landscape
a  second

Typing  the echo
of greetings.

The words didn't make any sense
Well not quite
She'd been happy
Give a little wave
half smile

Getting back to dating
Fifteen hours ago
Next was a stranger
fifteen something

Engaging smile nevertheless
Less than three weeks
to live
More to enjoy
A resigned disappointment
dancing, the outsider
Swerved away...
Repetitive behaviour
Words didn't make any sense
Excitement...impossible

Love knows not distance...Ιt hath no continent...
Ιt’s eyes are for the stars
